Marine Cpl. Barton R. Humlhanz, 23, of Hellertown, Pa.; assigned to Marine Expeditionary Unit Service Support Group 24, 24th MEU, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; killed Aug. 26 by enemy action in Babil province, Iraq. He is the son of Michele Groman Carey and Donald Carey of Hellertown and Edward Barton Humlhanz of Doylestown. Survivors: In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé, Lance Cpl. Lauren Berelle; a sister, Nicole Marie Humlhanz of Hellertown; a step brother, Benjamin Carey of Frenchtown, NJ; maternal grandparents, Oliver Groman and his wife, Martha of Doylestown; a step father, Clarence Carey of Ivyland; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by grandparents, Edward and Shirley Humlhanz and step grandmother, Lorraine Carey.
