Bio
After retiring from the USPS in 1991, I got involved in genealogy to learn about the history of my family. I was a member of the FVGS in Naperville, IL for over 5 years. I assisted in recording burial records in Kane and Dupage County cemeteries and then was the editor of "First Methodist Church" in Aurora recording their history going back to 1850. While there I volunteered with the Aurora Historical Society to help in transcribing probate records from Kane Co., IL court records.
My wife, Karolyn [Kendig] and I met while comparing notes on my gr-gr grandfather Silas Reynolds in 1998. We had both lost our spouses earlier. She is also active in genealogy tracing family records for over thirty years. We happen to be 4th cousins and in 1999 decided to work together and published a book of our common ancestor "The Descendants of Benjamin and Anna [Cornell] Reynolds" in 2004. Since then we have continued our research and "Find A Grave" has been a great resource for remembering and displaying them to others. I only enter Memorials of relatives and I am willing to transfer some of those.
I appreciate getting suggestions that add to these Memorials and help to make them more complete.
