Biographical Information

William Henry Beard was the son of John and Ellen Beard. The family relocated from Indiana to Iowa sometime between 1845 and 1850. The US Census' for both 1850 and 1860 place them in Tippecanoe, Henry, Iowa.

In 1862, the family came to Florence, Nebraska, and three years later they came to Washington county, homesteading seven miles north of what would later become Blair.

Mary Ella, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Beard, was born in Henry County, Iowa, August 5th, 1852, so was almost 76 years of age. The family came to Florence in 1862 and in 1865 they came to this county and settled on a homestead seven miles north of Blair, but Blair wasn't in existence until 1869, so they were real pioneers. One child; see obit.

John Thomas Denny, b. 1850, Lawrence Co., IN; d. April 14, 1887, Washington Co., NE. S/O James Denny and Jane Deaver, who are buried in Blair cemetery. Brother to Sarah Denny Beard.

Luzena and John had one child that I am aware of; daughter, Lillian "Lillie" Gertrude Denny, who was born around 1874 at Blair, Nebraska.

Luzena was John were divorced, and Luzena then remarried to Theodore Warrick, # 79787490 on 5/27/1885 in Washington County, Nebraska.

Luzena, Theodore, his children, Rena (10) and Dora (7) Warrick and Luzena's daughter, Lillie Denny, were residing together in Blair, Washington, Nebraska in 1885.
