His other credits include "Scarlet Street" (1945), "Sister Kenny" (1946), "That Hagen Girl" (1947), "Yellow Sky" (1949), "Intruder in the Dust" (1949), and "Wagon Master" (1950). Kemper was born in Oklahoma. From 1947 to 1949 he was president of the Masquers Club. He died at 49 in a car crash in Burbank, California.
