Alejandro "Alex", of Arroyo Seco, was predeceased by his children: Gloria, Phillip and Nancy Montaño; granddaughter Rayla Parraz; parents Locaido and Natividad Montaño; brothers: Inocencio, Elisio, Alfonso and Meliton Montaño; and sister Rafelita Montaño.

Alex was survived by his wife of 67 years, Gerry Montaño; children: Irene Parraz (Raymond), Alfonso Montaño (Trish), Martin Montaño (Ingrid), and Francine Barnes (Darren); and sisters: Ernestina Mondragon and Adelina Gonzales.

During World War II, Alex served in the US Army in the Pacific Theater. He owned and operated "Alex Paint and Body Shop".

A Rosary was recited on 11 Nov 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco. Funeral Mass was on 12 Nov 2013 at Holy Trinity Church. Interment followed in the Arroyo Seco Cemetery.
