OBITUARY
Mrs R. J. McConnell. There passed away last week at Waimate, a highly respected resident in the person of Mrs R. J. McConnell. Her death came as a shock to her many friends in Teschemaker and the surrounding districts where she had been known as a trusty friend and a kindly neighbour. She was the first woman to take up residence on the Finlay Downs estate, and her high principles and example were a lead to others following her. She is survived by her husband and three sons.
