OBITUARY.
MR WILLIAM JENNINGS. Mr William Jennings, who died at Lyndhurst Hospital on Wednesday morning, had been ailing for a brief time and was operated on on Monday, and again on Tuesday. With Mrs Jennings and the members of their family, he took a keen interest in the life of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, of which he was an elder. The funeral took place at Bromley yesterday afternoon and was largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. W. Bower Black. The chief mourners present were: Mrs W. Jennings, Miss Jennings, Mr and Mrs W. Jennings, Mr and Mrs H. L. Jennings (Geraldine), Mr and Mrs S. E. McGregor (Oamaru). The bearers at the house were relations of the deceased —Messrs J., G., A., and J. Jennings, T. Radcliffe, and A. S. McConnell—and at the grave were Messrs T. W. Reese, W. McKay, W. Roxburgh, S. Robinson, J. B. Campbell, and P. Hercus. In addition, the following office-bearers of the church attended: Messrs F. W. Anderson, G. Callender, D. O. Burn, R. Malcolm, Rev. F. Rule, Messrs W. Edmondstone, E. S. Jones, J. G. Maclachlan, R. H. Wilson, E. S. Davey, J. Neale, A. H. Patterson, A. Wilson, and P. G. Grant. Wreaths were sent by Mrs Jennings and family, Mr J. Jennings, Mr and Mrs A. S. McConnell, Mr and Mrs R.
