Actress. She was an American actress in several motion pictures of the 1920s through the 1930s. She began her career on the stage as a beautiful auburn-haired showgirl, dancing with the Ziegfeld Follies before relocating to Hollywood. Her debut in movies was in the silent film "Fully Insured" in 1923, which followed with a host of comedies. In 1930 she left Hollywood to study languages for over a year in New York City. Mehaffey returned in 1931 with "The Sunrise Trail", her first talkie film. For ten weeks in 1928, she was married to oil-well supply dealer George Joseph Hause. Later, she married film producer Ralph M. Like. Her last credited film was the 1938 "The Wages of Sin." She made at least 60 films in her career with most being silent films.
