Mehaffey returned in 1931 with "The Sunrise Trail", her first talkie film. For ten weeks in 1928, she was married to oil-well supply dealer George Joseph Hause. Later, she married film producer Ralph M. Like. Her last credited film was the 1938 "The Wages of Sin." She made at least 60 films in her career with most being silent films.
