Yuri Lipski was an Israeli-Russian diving instructor who met an untimely death at 22-years-old on April 28th, 2000. While attempting to swim underneath the infamous Underwater Arch of the Blue Hole (located off of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt), Lipski began an uncontrolled decent, culminating in his death at 115 meters (approx. 377 feet) underwater on the sea floor. He captured his own death on film via a camera on his helmet, and the top video of the footage has almost 6 million views on YouTube as of 2/10/19. At the request of his mother, his body was recovered the next day by famed recovery diver Tarek Omar. It is currently unknown what location she chose to be the final resting place for her young son.
