CANTON, Mich. Roberteen Slusher passed away on October 2, 2018, at home, 4 days shy of her 93rd birthday. Roberteen was born in Floyd, Va., on October 6, 1925, to Flemon and Fannie Jones. Roberteen, known to her friends as "Bobbie" met her husband, Marvin Slusher, at grade school in Floyd. They were married on October 10, 1943, and were married for 71 years until Marvin passed away in October 2014. Roberteen was predeceased by her sisters, Anne Murphy and Ruth Johnson; her brother, Paul Jones; and her brother and sister-in-law, Silas and Pat Jones. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and Hugh Nester, of Floyd, Va.; her children, Larry Slusher and Richard Slusher. three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends, all who will miss her dearly. Roberteen's ashes will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Marvin at a memorial service held at the Slusher Jones Family Cemetery in Floyd, Va. on Friday October 19, 2018.
