In the spring os 1908 she moved with her family to Fairfax, S.D., where she grew to womanhood.
On June 21st, 1919, She was united in marriage to Charles Kappelman at Lake Andes, S.D. They lived in Gregory county until they moved to Keya Paha county, Nebr., in 1935. They moved to Springview in 1957 upon retirement.
Mrs. Kappelman is survived by three sons, Charles Jr., Burton Nebr., George, Winner, S.D., and Jack, Nampa, Ida.; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Frances) Hoffman, Dallas, S.D., and Mrs. Leon (Bertha) Weidner, Bassett, Nebr.,; one brother, George Walters, Larmie, Wyo.; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Harrison, Winner, Mrs, Verginia Cerney and Mrs. Dorothy Shipman of Burke, S.D., and 20 Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, two sisters, one daughter and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 26, at the Sprringview auditorium with the Rev. C. Curtis Norlin of the Springview Methodist church and the Rev. Lenore Ball of the General Baptist church of Springview occiciating. Music was provided by Mrs. Duane Philben, Mrs. Vance Baker and Mrs. Norman Nelson who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied by Mrs. T.G. Weddel.
Pallbearers were Ivan Chase, Glen Schrantz, Neil Clopton, Alva Wiley, Duane Schoettger and Ceile Ripley. Burial was in Mount Hope cemetery at Springview.
