Mrs. Conaway worked for the McNairy County Board of Education as a substitute teacher. She was a member of North Selmer Pentecostal Church and Olivet Pentecostal Church. She loved sewing and floral arranging.

She is survived by her daughter, Monica Gordon and her husband John of Adamsville, Tennessee; brother, Phillip David Rogers of Collierville, Tennessee; sister, Mary Helen Rogers of Navarre, Florida; and grandchildren, Ethan (Ted) Gordon, Benjamin (B.J.) Gordon, and Evan Gordon.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her son, Joseph (Joey) Hiram Conaway and brother, Bob Rogers.
