My great grandmother Blanche Fralick Washer was born in New York. She married Frances Wellington Washer known as FRANK in Amsterdam 1894. She was mother to five children. Neil Francis, Pearl B, Carl, Clinton John, and Marjorie Belle Washer. Marjorie Belle Washer O'Brien is my grandmother. Blanche was very involved in agricultural activities as her husband was not only an Oswego Canal Boatman but also a farmer. She served in various positions with the Pennelville Grange and was also a member of the Golden Chain Rebekahs. She and my great grandfather were involved in a very serious auto accident in 1916. Frank nearly died and Blanche was injured, the relative driving the car was killed. Blanche died from complications of diabetes according to family sources.
