Oundle. —Emma Mary, Dowager Lady Lyveden, died Friday night at Buxton. Her Ladyship was the daughter and co-heiress of John, third and last Earl of Upper Ossory (a title now extinct), and was married in 1823 to the Right Hon. Robert Vernon, first Lord Lyveden, who died 1873, and by whom she had issue three sons, of whom the eldest is the present Lord Lyveden. Her remains were interred in the family vault in Brigstock churchyard on Wednesday. The Revs. N.B. Cherry (Hemington) and C. Hopkins (Oundle) took part in the ceremony. During the afternoon the minute bell was tolled at Oundle, and a large number of tradesmen closed their shops as a mark of esteem for the departed lady.
