Christ Lust, 88, died Sunday in St. Mary's Villa, Pierz, where he had been a resident since October, 1963. He was born in Prairie du Chien, Wis., and after coming to the Pierz area, had farmed in Hillman Township until his retirement to Pierz Village ten years ago. He had served on the school board of his district when on the farm.
Surviving him are four sons and four daughters: Clarence, Little Falls; Anthony and Edward, Pierz; Richard and Mrs. Florian (Eva) Kroll, Royalton; Mrs. Ben (Laura) Bednar, St. Paul; Mrs. Irene Langer and Mrs. Joseph (Larayne) Theis, Minneapolis. His wife, the former Victoria Schuh, preceded him in death one and one-half years ago. A brother Charles lives in Hillman, and a sister Mrs. Joe (Louisa) McManus in Seattle, Wash. There are 26 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Fuenral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Robert Voigt celebrating the Solemn Requiem Mass in St. Joseph's Church, Pierz. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Victor and Raymond Stangl, Wilfred and Ardell Waytashek, Eugene Kroll and Erwin Lust.
