Alvah, also known as Elba or Elby was the son of George Parker Foster and Sarah Foster. He was the husband of Elizabeth Kendall Foster and the father of Ionia (or Iona)Foster MacDonald and Lilly Mae Foster Wiemer. Elba died of consumption. According to the newspaper obituary he died on Friday December 25, 1903. Records from the cemetery have his death date and burial date the same day, December 27th. This would be impossible as his death was reported in the Saturday December 26th Newspaper.
