She was born May 31, 1918, in Rensselaer, and lived most of her life in Lafayette. She moved to the healthcare center in 1989.

Surviving are four brothers including Homer Watkins of Delphi, and four sisters. A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

Services were today in Lafayette, with burial in Battle Ground Cemetery.
