Jennie M. Persolio was born Giovanna Persoglio in Cassine Italy in 1899. She immigrated to the United States with her Mother Teresa and Uncle Carlo Ricci in 1903 onboard the Citta di Milano. She never married. She worked at "the Mill Outlet" in Wilmington selling notions and linens. For most of her adult life, Jennie who went by the name of Jane lived with her sister Clotilda Persolio DiJoseph, her husband Francis Di Joseph, and their daughter Frances Jane, whom she helped raise. She was preceded in death by her parents Domenick and Teresa (Ricci) Persolio, brothers James J., and Francis A. Persolio. Her sisters Rosa Persoglio, Maria Persolio, Catherine Persoglio, and Josephine Penna. Her neice Teresa Penna. And a great-great niece Nicole Marie Stanley. She is survived by her sister, Clotilda DiJoseph, her niece Frances Jane Lavase (Larry), her nephew Carl Penna(Christine). Also survived by her great nephews Michael Penna, and Steven F. Persolio. great-nieces Donna M. Schwartz, Eileen D. Campagne, Anne M. Murray and Michele M. Myers and their families.
