Sanders Man Succumbs Friday
Funeral Service To Be Sunday Afternoon

Elmer George, age 46, died Friday afternoon at 12:45 p.m. at his home in Sanders after an illness of several months due to heart disease. He had been critically ill for the past week. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at two o’clock at the Sanders church with burial in the Lucas cemetery. His six brothers will serve as pall bearers while his nieces will be flower bearers.

Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Mable George; three daughters, Wilma Jean, Katherine, and Vera, all at home; six brothers, Charles George of Bloomington, John of Washington, Bryant of Jackson county, Clayton, Rollie and Roy all of Nashville; and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Stevens of Jeffersonville.

A native of Brown county, Mr. George was born there in July 7, 1900 to Edward and Nancy Lawson George. He had lived in this county for several years, having been employed as a quarryman for some time and more recently as a helper in a saw mill
