Nancy Ansell Moorman, a 25-year resident of the Alexian Village on Signal Mountain, TN died peacefully at her home on Monday, April 2, 2012.

She was born May 1, 1919 in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late BG and Mrs. Samuel T. Ansell.

She graduated from The George Washington University in 1938.

She is survived by Col. Harold N. Moorman, her husband of 73 years; their daughters, Anne Reeves, of Wilbur-by-the-Sea, FL, and Susan Southworth, of Woodbury, CT; their son, Hunter Moorman, of Arlington VA; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service 6 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at All Saints Anglican Catholic Church in Soddy-Daisy TN, Father Eugene Rosencranz officiating.

Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1942.
