Elden W. Eichmann, 90, of Waverly, died at his home Saturday, April 10.
He was born June 21, 1919, in rural Bremer County, son of William and Vera Eichmann.
On Dec. 18, 1955, he married Mary Leitha at Waverly First Evangelical Church, Waverly.
Mr. Eichmann graduated from Waverly High School in 1938. He worked with his father in the plumbing business before starting his photography career. He opened the photography studio in 1959 and added custom framing to the business in 1985.
Elden is survived by his wife; a daughter, Gena (John) Mackamul of Waverly; two sons, Alan and Corby, both of Ankeny; a grandchild, Lawrence Mackamul; a brother, Edwin Eichmann; and a brother-in-law, James Potts.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Everett; two sisters, Evelyn Sinnott and Eleanor Potts.
Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Waverly. According to his wishes, his body was donated to the University of Iowa. There was no visitation.
Memorials were directed to Trinity Church, Cedar Valley Hospice, or a charity of the donor's choice.
