Swedish princess. Her original name was Therese Amalie Caroline Josephine Antoinette of Saxe-Altenburg. She was thus a German princess of the Wettin Dynasty and married Prince August to become Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Dalecarlia and also Princess of Norway until 1905. They had no children. She was eccentric and her husband called her a Swedish equivalent of "my little poopsie-loo". She was long a widow and spent some time in Switzerland for her health, later moving into Haga Palace north of Stockholm where she lived for the rest of her life. She was admired for the good food she served and for a few talented musical compositions.
