Helen "EVANDA" Stevens was his first wife who died of pnemonia at a young age. Marriage date Dec 19 1917 in NY. They had three children; Jeanette Washer Ives, Neil Fay Washer (K.I.A. WWII), and Leo T Washer.

Neil F. Washer, resident of the Pennellville-Phoenix Rd, died last night at his home after a long illness. Mr. Washer was born at Pennellville, son of Frank Washer and Blanche Fralick Washer. He was formerly a foreman for the National Milk Sugar Company at Pennellville and was a member of the Pennellville Grange. A former county committeemen for the Republican party, he also served as member of the board of elections. Mr. Washer is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Byrne Washer; a daughter, Mrs. Ira Ives of Penellas Park, Fla.; a son, Tech. Sgt. Leo E. Washer of the U.S. Air Force Base in Spain; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Severance of Watertown and Mrs. Leland O'Brien of Pennellville. Funeral services will be conducted at the Alanson-Glanville-Tappan funeral home on Main in Phoenix Sunday. The Rev. James E. Spear, pastor of the Pennellville Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Pennellville cemetery.
