WEBB PATSY DOUGLAS WEBB (Age 96) PATSY DOUGLAS WEBB, widow of James E. Webb, who led NASA during the Apollo Lunar Program of the 1960's, died August 2 at her home in Oakland, CA . She had complications from Parkinson's Disease, which she had battled for more than 15 years. Mrs. Webb was born Patsy Aiken Douglas in Washington, DC in 1911 to parents who settled in the District in 1895 from their native South Carolina. She attended Holton Arms School and the National Cathedral School for Girls, followed by a year at Mlle. Boissier's School for Girls in Paris. After her marriage to Mr. Webb in 1938, their 53 years of married life was largely spent in the Washington area, but also included seven years in New York City and seven years in Oklahoma City. Survivors include daughter Sarah Gorham Webb of Oakland, CA; son James E. Webb, Jr. and daughter-in-law Barbara Webb of Hopewell, NJ; grandchildren Julia Webb, also of Hopewell, NJ; Giovanna Torchio of New York, NY, and Greson Torchio of San Francisco, CA. A service will be held for Mrs. Webb at 3 p.m. September 18 at the Chapel of Ft. Meyer in Arlington, followed by internment next to Mr. Webb at Arlington National Cemetery.
