The family lived for many years on the South Divide, having moved to Salem in more recent years. Surviving of the immediate family is his wife (Helen), a daughter (Melva), a son-in-law and one grandchild.
Mrs. A.W. Winkelmann is a sister of the deceased and she, two sisters (Sophia Nordhausen and Bertha Denker), a brother (Henry Bischoff) and several nephews of the Wauneta area left Sunday morning, by train from Ogallala, for Salem for the services which were held Tuesday.
