LONGVIEW DAILY NEWS - June 22, 1954 - OBITUARY:
HANDLEY - James Daniel, 71, of Rt. 1, Box 829, Ridgefield, died June 21 at
home. Born Jan. 24, 1883 at Trenton, Mo.
He was a retired mason and a member of the Kelso Eagles Lodge. He came to
Ostrander in 1905 and remained in this area until 1925 when he moved to Grays
River. He returned to this area in 1931 and had lived at Ridgefield the last 6 years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. James D. Handley; a dau, Mrs. Mary Catherine Craig of Kelso; 3 sons, James Henry of Pomona, Calif, Joseph Daniel of Kelso and John J of Longview; 3 sisters Mrs. Martha Ellen Moser of Cusing, Ok, Mrs Nannie Mae Cole of Oklahoma City, Ok and Mrs. Mildred Filer of Longview; a bro August of La Center and 10 grandchldren. Funeral arrangements are pending. The Reardon-McVicker Funeral home is in charge.
