OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church here at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, for Mrs. Lucette Bernard Lafleur, 75, with burial following in Bellview [sic Bellevue] Cemetery here under the direction of LaFonde and Sons Funeral Home on the old Sunset Highway.

Mrs. Lafleur, a resident of Opelousas, died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Opelousas General Hospital, after a short illness.

Mrs. Lafleur was a retired housewife.

Survivors include her husband, Shelton Lafleur of Opelousas; five sons, Joseph Roger Lafleur of Cross Lanes, W.Va., Robert (Bobby) Shelton Lafleur, Louis Verbis Lafleur, Joseph Earl Lafleur and Charles Richard Lafleur, all of Opelousas; one daughter, Marie Lafleur Mumme of New Orleans; one brother, Louis Bernard, Jr. of Crowley; two sisters, Lorraine Bernard Sublette of Baton Rouge and Sr. Pauline Bernard, St. Joseph de M., of New Orleans; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
