LOUIS HOLST, 88, died early this morning at the Toth Nursing Home, Chilton, following a short illness. He resided there since October.

He was born April 12, I876, in the Town of New Holstein, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Holst. He farmed in the Town of Chilton all his life. Mr. Holst was on the council of the Ebenezer United Church of Christ for 20 years. He married Bertha Bartel on March 23, 1908, at Potter Lutheran Church. She died in October, 1943.

Surviving are three daughters. Mrs. Victor (Verna) Schluchter, R. 1, Chilton; Mrs Wilbur (Violet) Hintz, Oakland, Calif. and Mrs. Gilbert (Merla) Arenz, Hilbert: a son. Delmar. R. 1. Chilton: three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Schroeder, Chilton, Mrs. Ella Bartel, Whitelaw and Mrs. Anna Smithers Fond du Lac: 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ebenezer UCC, Chilton. The Rev. Q u e n t i n Moeschberger, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Chilton.
